FAQs
Can I change my mind about my courses?
Our course change window closed on March 25. There may be an opportunity to change your courses at enrolment, but this is not guaranteed and subject to availability
Is completing the subject activities compulsory?
No, but we strongly recommend engaging with the tasks on offer to ensure you feel prepared for Level 3 study
If I complete the tasks, will they be marked?
While your tasks will not be graded, your teachers will review them, and they have been specially designed to ensure that they support you to hit the ground running when you join HNC
Are there any essential tasks I need to complete before joining HNC?
Yes, you will need to upload your membership badge photo by 10 July, and if you want to apply for a student bursary, you will also need to complete your application by this date to guarantee funding in place for your first day
Can I come and visit HNC again before I start?
Yes! We will be hosting our welcome event, Hudd Fest, on Friday 10 July. You can book your ticket here
Will I meet my teachers before lessons start?
You can meet your teachers at Hudd Fest, and we also schedule a compulsory induction day (this year it’s taking place on Friday 28 August) where you will meet your class teachers and the other students you will be learning with.
How does enrolment work?
Enrolment at HNC takes place from GCSE results day and is all completed online, meaning you do not have to come to HNC to enrol. You must upload your GCSE results by 4:30pm – full details on how to complete this will be shared on this platform, and by email
What happens if I don’t achieve the grades I need on GCSE results day?
If you don’t achieve the grades needed for your pathway or courses, we still recommend that you submit your results so we can assess your application for clearing – further information about HNC clearing can be found in this portal
